Our first intake of the brand spankin new FCS 2020/21 range has arrived in store! I would like to introduce some of the new fin templates and constructions and also new colourways and shapes of tailpads. FCS is still arguably the most reputable surf hardware company in the world and we are proud to showcase their newest stock. LOOK HERE.
Unfortunately our major clientele (Melburnians) are still land locked for a while longer due to this devastating virus but that does not mean we can’t still get exuberant about new product. For everyone outside of Metro Vic we still have delivery options and free pick up at door options on our website where all these items will be displayed.
A new staff favourite is the FCS II Chris Christenson Twin Fin PG
This specialty fin will be a popular summer asset to any twin fin enthusiast out there. It sits somewhere in between a retro and modern template which makes it super versatile and will basically compliment any twin fin. From high performance twins to more traditional shapes, this set provides smooth and fast down the line speed. The construction is Performance Glass for hold and control through turns. For the techdogs out there, here are some specs:
Base: 5.12″ / 130.5mm
Depth: 5.22″ / 132.5mm
Area: 19.75″² / 12744mm²
Another great new shaper collaborated series by FCS is the Channel Islands Keel Twin PG Set.
This fin was designed predominantly to suit the Channel Islands Fish Beard board. It is another twin fin set with a true focus on speed and flow. A modern template combined with a progressive flex that provides excellent control for power surfing. Have a look at them in action here:
Steering away from the fast loose style of a twin fin, we have received a new Firewire template and construction created alongside Dann Mann. This is for all the thruster enthusiasts who like to bury rail and throw tail with as much performance as possible.
The FCS II Firewire PC Aircore Thruster Set
Designed by the Dan Mann himself, the new Firewire template is an all-round thruster set with shades of twin fin characteristics. Suited to most Firewire models, the full-bodied XL side fins produce exceptional hold and drive off the bottom. The smaller centre fin and unique tip design offers the projection of a twin but with the same feel and release of a thruster set through turns. The construction is a combo of the PC and aircore for a feathery feel with maximum hold. Supercharged and very exciting to ride, here are the specs:
Base: 4.34″ / 110.2mm
Depth: 4.75 ” / 120.5 mm
Area: 15.01″² / 9682 mm²
Base: 4.26″ / 108.1mm
Depth: 4.45 ” / 112.9 mm
Area: 14.14″² / 9124mm²
Base: 4.47″ / 113.4 mm
Depth: 4.89 ” / 124.0 mm
Area: 15.78 “² / 10180 mm²
Base: 4.38″ / 111.1 mm
Depth: 4.57″ / 115.9 mm
Area: 14.91″² / 9622 mm²
Now here are some new colourways in some of FCS’s pre-existing gear including Julian Wilson’s signature tail pad, Mick Fanning’s signature fin and a new T-3 Fish tail pad strictly for swallow tails:
Unfortunately it is looking like stage 4 is going to be around for a bit longer so until you can all come into the store again, here is an action shot of the FCS area. We look forward to seeing you again soon and in the meantime LOOK HERE!
