How to Wax a Surfboard
Make your wax job grippier and longer lasting – the better connection with your board, the the better the ride.

The brand new Slater Designs No Brainer model (SHOP NOW) has just arrived in store at Zak Surfboards. This model is a new performance groveler from Slater Designs to come out of the collaboration of Kelly Slater with designer Dan Mann. A board that an advanced surfer can ride in small to medium sized waves and shred on – that a less experienced surfers will find fantastic to ride as more of an all-rounder.

The No Brainer has a shorter, wider and fuller outline. This outline is great for extra glide and flow over flatter wave faces. With enough curve in the outline and rail rocker to still allow for a top to bottom approach on smaller wave faces. The Slater Designs No Brainer bottom contour goes from a subtle belly vee in the nose that blends into a single concave under the chest. A double concave then creeps in, within the single from a decent way up the board. This then deepens into a spiral vee as it goes through the fins & out the tail. This bottom contour allows for plenty of lift and speed while keeping rail to rail transitions nice, smooth & catch free

This model comes with fin plug options so it can be surfed as a Thruster or a Quad – Kelly suggests trying the Quad set up first on this model. Come and check them out in store or ONLINE
