Our racks in store have just been restocked with the Zombie Wolf, a popular winter/travel model – designed as an easy surfing board for waves with a bit more shape, size and power. If you usually ride something a little shorter/flatter/wider & thicker then this model is a great choice for when the waves get better (& really easy board to transition onto & then back to your regular board). Also if you generally ride something more HP & want to stay on something smaller & easier to manage in the tube, but up your paddle power on good days – then this is also a great board to consider. The Zombie Wolf features a moderate entry rocker that strikes a great balance between speed off the mark, carry and ability to fit to the wave face for those steeper drops. The exit rocked is moderate as well to help you control that extra speed and turn a little tighter in steeper sections with confidence.
The Zombie Wolf has a slight, single to double concave has been used in this shape for that perfect amount of speed generation and control. The rounded Pin tail gives you ultra smooth carving abilities and provides that little extra connection to the wave face to prevent sliding out in critical sections. The foam distribution in this board makes it really easy to paddle and provides you with a nice stable & predictable platform – so you can focus on ripping into the canvas that the ocean is providing. Lay into your turns with more confidence and feel nice and secure moving at higher speeds (& in steeper parts of the wave) with one of these.
If you are looking for aboard to get your shred on in average to excellent waves with a little more juice but don’t want to jump on anything too long, thinned out/HP or gunny then the Zombie Wolf is definitely a shape worth checking out.
